We adopted Buddy, from Ireland 6 wks ago. There were suspicions Buddy was blind and a visit to the vets confirmed this. However, his blindness does not affect him too much.We go walking at Carsington water every day and Buddy no longer bumps in to anything. He loves our 2 cats who like to wind Buddy up by walking under his legs then jumping up in to the window so he cant find them.Buddy is the most loyal, affectionate dog you could ever meet.He never growls at anything or anybody,he just wags his tail!!He loves snuggling up to anybody who will cuddle him.Buddy would let you spend all day brushing him(if only thats all I had to do in a day.He was at least 16lb underweight when he arrived in sunny Derbyshire but in 4wks he has gained over a stone in weight. The vet says he is almost his ideal weight.Buddy was a stray who ended up on death row at the dog pound through no fault of his own.Even the pound workers had qualms about giving Buddy a second chance, just because he was blind.Thankfully,Buddy was saved and we think he will be grateful for the rest of his life.!!! He has also learnt how to walk on a lead,I no longer take him for walkies,he takes me!!!!!!!!!
